How it began

In 2015 I (Katharina) fulfilled a dream and took a sabbatical from my fulltime job. I dreamed of seeing the world, experiencing adventures and having unlimited free time to find myself. My husband Mark was able to travel as a digital nomad and so we got to know and love the country, the people and the waves in Central America, Europe and Indonesia. After the free year the cold german winter was waiting for us. We warmed ourselves with memories of the fulfilled times full of lightness and freedom. For Mark it was clear that he doesn’t just want to reminisce, but will spend the coming winter in a warmer place – where he can unite his work and his passion, surfing.

Katharina wanted to see, Mark wanted the sea

After the former everyday life had crept in again, I felt there was more waiting for me in life and I quit my job. In November 2018 we finally gave up our apartment packed our courage and swimming trunks, and drove our camper across Europe to the south coast of Portugal. We wanted to feel whether we would like to spend the winter there in the future. And you can imagine it: It felt good and right! Slowing down, closeness to nature, inspiration, self-realization and freedom were in the air.

So we went in search of the dream house and as fate would have it, we found it in the cute Raposeira.

Here we are now

After we spent some time with the camper in front of the house and were woken up daily by the rising sun over the sea it was clear: this is it! A modern new building, lots of sunshine and large window fronts with views of hills, forests and the sea. Very quiet but centrally located, so that despite the idyll you are quickly in the action and, very importantly, at the right surf spot. The new life could begin.

Feel the magic of the casual south

As we are doing business in Germany during the summer, we would like to share with you the special atmosphere that has enchanted us here. We have created a home where we feel at home, which brings us energy and joie de vivre and enables us to grow. During our trip around the world we stayed in different accommodations and brought our experiences into the new home. We put a lot of love into the facility and we hope that you feel as comfortable here as we do, appreciate this house and the surroundings, have a very special time and also will be happy to come back.
